It took a while, but we got heroic Anub down this evening with 24 attempts remaining. The phase 3 healing kinks took longer to sort out than anticipated but at the end of the day we got the kill, and one that seems like it will be much easier to repeat in future resets. It was a very well tuned and fun encounter that stretched the guild to think of more efficient ways of handling the seemingly simple elements of this fight. Our collective thanks go out to Kurds, Lorre and Lia who took the lead in strategizing for this task and who analyzed the after action reports to better hone our strategy and tactics.
Overall I think most of us were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed Coliseum 25 Man as a pleasant change of pace from the tedium of Ulduar's trash and large number of bosses. It will be really nice to be able to tackle PTR testing for Icecrown knowing we're not leaving unfinished business on live.
